Summary
Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), the Senior Procurement Director is leading the operational delivery of procurement programs across regions within the EMEIA HUB. This role is responsible for implementing regional category strategies, managing in-market KPIs, and ensuring the successful deployment of sourcing initiatives and digital tools. The Director will serve as a key liaison between global procurement and local business partners, ensuring alignment, compliance, and value realization.
Responsibilities
Business Partner Engagement
- Act as the primary procurement interface for in-market stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business needs and priorities.
- Build strong relationships with functional leaders to support planning, budgeting, and sourcing execution.
- Translate global and regional strategies into actionable local plans.
ERP & Digital Tool Deployment
- Lead the roll-out and adoption of ERP systems and procurement applications across regions.
- Ensure seamless integration of digital tools into sourcing and purchasing workflows.
- Provide training and change management support to drive user adoption and process compliance.
In-Market Program Execution
- Oversee the implementation of procurement programs and initiatives at the market level.
- Monitor and report on in-market KPIs, including savings, compliance, and supplier performance.
- Identify and resolve operational issues, escalating risks as needed.
Category Strategy Application
- Support the execution of regional category strategies for relevant indirect spend categories.
- Ensure consistency in sourcing approaches, supplier engagement, and contract management.
- Provide feedback to category leads on market dynamics and supplier performance.
End-to-End Sourcing for Non-Global Sub-Categories
- Lead sourcing activities for non-global sub-categories, from requirements gathering to contract execution.
- Drive cost savings, cost avoidance, and value creation through competitive sourcing and negotiation.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure alignment with ESG and risk standards.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, processes, and controls.
- Support audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote ethical sourcing and sustainability practices across all procurement activities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Spend Under Management: Percentage of total indirect spend governed by procurement.
- Cost Savings: Deliver annual value through cost savings (typical targets of 2-3% annually across categories over the long term).
- Cost Avoidance: Deliver value through prevention of price increases or freezes (typical targets of 4-6%).
- Preferred Term Compliance: Percentage of contracts meeting select preferred terms, e.g., net payment terms.
- Sourcing Cycle Time: Cycle time for stages of the source-to-contract process, e.g., average time to negotiate and finalize a contract.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Spend on suppliers from a diversity and inclusion profile.
Work Environment & Collaboration
- The Procurement Director reports to the CPO and collaborates closely with the VP, Category Management & Global Sourcing, business unit leaders in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. The candidate will be required to travel to the different countries that the Hub is servicing.
Skills and Experience
-Demonstrated expertise in change management and influential leadership
-Proven success in developing and leading procurement programs and delivering measurable value.
- Strong expertise in indirect category management, sourcing execution and S2P (Source to Pay) processes.
- Demonstrated mastery of ERP systems and digital procurement tools.
- Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of ESG, supplier diversity, and ethical sourcing practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree an asset.
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in procurement or sourcing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, PMP) are considered assets.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is an asset.
